Suspension Of Classes Declared in Metro Manila and CALABARZON Areas Today, August 2



Due to the very bad weather condition, the Department of Education (DepEd) has decided to suspend classes today, August 2, in Metro Manila (NCR) and in some parts of CALABARZON in Kindergarten to High School levels.

Here is the official announcements as posted in DepEd's twitter page:

NCR: Because of continuous rains & PAGASA's prediction of heavy rainfall, classes are suspended in Kinder, Elem and HS today, August 2.

CALABARZON: No classes in Calamba City, Rodriguez Rizal and Rosario Cavite today, August 2.

CALABARZON: No classes in Calamba City, Rodriguez Rizal and Rosario Cavite today, August 2, for Kinder, Elementary and HS.

Reminder: College level is not under DepEd. Please contact your respective school administrators. Thank you.

@SanMateoRizal: Classes are suspended today, August 2, in San Mateo, Rizal from Preschool to Highschool in all PUBLIC Schools only.

UST, St Paul,San Sebastian classes are suspended

Mayor Ilagan of Cainta, Rizal suspended classes at 9:00am today, August 2.


Meanwhile, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) have also announced suspension of classes in some colleges and universities in Metro Manila (NCR).

The institution also advises college and university students to contact their school administration for inquiries whether they also declared suspension of classes or not.
