GMA-7 recently revelead the official list of contestants in their new Saturday evening reality singing contest "Celebrity Duets: Year 2" which will replace the just concluded Pinoy Idol.
Eight contestants will compete each week and will have a duet number with the show's invited professional celebrity singer.
Included in the list are MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, fashion designer JC Buendia, comedian turned politician Joey Marquez and his beauty queen/supermodel/actress sister Melanie Marquez, former Bb. Pilipinas-World Carlene Aguilar, wellness and beauty expert Cory Quirino, chef and fomer Ka-Toque co-host JL Cang, and Fil-British professional soccer player Phil Younghusband.
The other supposed-to-be contestants but said "no" in the last minute are Entertainment columnist na si Ricky Lo, Pacman's wife Jinkee, and former Purefoods player Jerry Codiñera.
Celebrity Duets will have its pilot episode on August 23 and will be hosted by the real life sweethearts Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid.
