Kristine Hermosa returns to television via "Komiks Presents: Nasaan Ka Maruja?"

Kristine will reprise Susan Roces'paranormal role as Christy Rivera in the original Maruja movie shown in 1967.

"I am a magazine columnist who has a third eye. And with that special gift my mission is to help dead people who still are not in peace," she said during the pictorial of Maruja.

"This is my first time acting as a woman with a third eye. I feel so excited…and another thing that I like is its concept of period transcendence. I love scenes about past and future," Kristine added.

Also starring in Mars Ravelo’s Nasaan Ka Maruja are John Estrada, Derek Ramsay and Karylle.

Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Nasaan Ka Maruja? will start airing on May 2 under the Komiks Presents block every Saturday right after Cinema FPJ.

Joining them in the main cast is Karylle.

Kristine Hermosa and Diether Ocampo Marriage Declared Annuled

Kristine Hermosa’s marriage in 2004 to Diether Ocampo has been declared null and void by the Court of Appeals (CA).

It can be recalled that Kristine initially filed the annulment of her marriage to Diether on June 21, 2005. She argued that a marriage certificate was not given during the marriage ceremony that was solemnized by Mayor Antonio Esquivel on September 21, 2004 in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

In the nine-page decision written by CA Second Division Associate Justice Sesinando Villalon, it was explained that the 25-year-old actress gave sufficient documentary and testimonial evidence to prove that a marriage certificate was not issued.

The CA added that the absence of the primary requisites is a vital element to prove the marriage between two persons. It also clarified that the one year and one month marriage of Diether and Kristine has been invalid ever since.

A part of the decision read: "The absence of any of the essential or formal requisites shall render the marriage void ab initio. It is a Hornbook doctrine that findings of the facts of trial courts are entitled to great weight on appeal and should not be disturbed except for strong and valid reasons."

Meanwhile, the appellate court also junked the request of the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to reverse the decision of the Makati City Regional Trial Branch 136 on March 31, 2006, which also declared the union of the two Kapamilya actors null and void.

Kristine Hermosa is the New 'Maruja'

Kristine Hermosa will play as Maruja in an upcoming Sineserye on ABS-CBN 2.

Aside from Kristine, Maruja will also feature other returning Kapamilya star like John Estrada. Other casts include Gloria Romero, Rafael Rosell, and the new Kapamilya Karylle.

Maruja is Mars Ravelo's immortal love story about two people whose love for each other transcended a century.

Maruja was first adapted into film in 1967 by Lea Productions and it featured Ms. Susan Roces and Romeo Vasquez as Maruja and Gabriel.

In 1996, Viva Films produced a remake of the Maruja films that starred the popular love team of Carmina Villaroel and Rustom Padilla.
