Vilma Santos, Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz Topbill Star Cinema's "In My Life"

In My Life is Star Cinema's upcoming movie which star John Lloyd Cruz, Luis Manzano and Gov. Vilma Santos.

With working title "A Mother’s Story", the movie highlights the comeback of the Star for all Seasons in the silver screen. Even before the camera started shooting for the film, it already made an impact to the public because of the report that there will be a "lip-locking" scene between John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano who will portray a gay couple.

Vilma plays the overweight Shirley who owns a pet cat named Kiki. Luis Manzano and Dimples Romana play her son and daughter. John Lloyd Cruz is Luis’ gay lover both living in New York. She wears a fat suit in the movie, giving her a totally different look from all the movies she had done.

Aside from the movie, ABS-CBN will air a one month television special called "In My Life" prior to the premiere of "In My Life, the Movie." It will feature Vima’s career as a multi-awarded actress, a showbiz icon, a politician and a loving mother.

The fourth week will feature behind-the-scenes exclusive features on the making of the film and the three-week shoot in New York. It will be the final episode culminating in a live press conference to be held at the Dolphy Theatre.

In My Life is directed by Olive Lamasan and co-written by Raymond Lee and Senedy Que. No playdate is announced as of yet.

Luis Manzano Will Be Gay

Yes, Luis Manzano is about to become a gay and he will be John Lloyd Cruz' lover. But, oooppsss...not for real.

Myx Veejay and Dyosa actor Luis finally accepted the role as John Lloyd Cruz‘ lover in the upcoming Star Cinema movie starring his mom, Governor Vilma Santos.

Tuloy na tuloy na!” Luis said happily.

It has a gay theme to it, but beside the gay theme, nandoon na ang mother and son, which is kami ng mommy ko. But there is a very, very different love story, two different stories on top of it,” he added.

The said movie will serve as the directorial comeback of Olivia Lamasan of the award-winning Madrasta and Got 2 Believe.

Luis and John Lloyd will begin shooting in February 2009 where most of the locations will be shot in New York. They have a love scene in the movie which is both first time for both actors.
