Obama approval rating Failed!

Only 40 percent of Americans gave U.S. President Obama an approval ratings according to Gallup daily presidential tracking poll from July 26 - 28, 2011.

However, 41 percent of the public said they approved of the way the U.S President is handling the debt-ceiling negotiations while 52 percent disapproved.

The poor rating comes amidst an increasingly chaotic debate over raising the debt ceiling, as the deadline to raise it or risk the government defaulting on its debts looms.

But despite this poor ratings, Obama still fared better than the Congressional leadership. Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid both received even lower approval rates.

Gallup’s daily presidential tracking poll result was based on 1,463 adults respondent in the U.S. by telephone and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
